Motorola leaked the Atrix HD on their website and it has some great specs with something that did disappoint me.
The Motorola Atrix HD specs are as follows
- Android 4.0 ICS
- 8MP rear camera
- 1.3MP front camera
- LED flash
- 3.5mm Headset Jack
- HTML 5 Web Browser
- WI-FI 802.11 a,b,g,n
- Bluetooh Class 2
- 4G Mobile HotSpot for up to 5 devices
- Micro USB Charging port
- HDMI out slot
- Data Transfer Rate of USB 2.0
- The normal GPS and Location services
- 1080p HD video capture at 30 Frames Per Second
- Display is 4.5-inch with HD ColorBoost technology (720 x 1280) TFT LCD
- MicroSD card slot that supports up to 32GB
- 1.5 GHz Dual Core Processor
- 1 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM
- Battery is 1780 mAh
There our a few more features beyond the standard spec list. First off it will be sporting a Kevlar backing for a Stylishly thin design. Motorola claims that it will be “Splash resistant, inside and out”. They also have a SMARTACTIONS app that helps preserve battery life. Also the ColorBoost display will offer more vibrant colors and sharper images. Now there is one thing that I find disappointing and that is the battery size. Why are high end LTE phones being released with batteries that are less than 2000 mAh ??
I hope the SMARTACTIONS app will truly help the 1780 mAh battery last a full day. There is no set release date but the phone looks to be going to AT&T from the looks of the pictures and the Date on the phone is July 26 so maybe later this month we will see this bad boy in stores. I myself am very excited for I own the original Atrix 4G and this looks like what I feel the Atrix 2 should have been. I do however wish it shipped with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean but ICS will do for now.
